Safety at Sea (School) and learning by doing (4H) - and more

We have been in the forest surrounding the city, visiting some of the many lakes. There we have learned safety at sea - and also to practice safe sea rules. - And we walk where ever we go....
Preben and Nelsom has been pen pals for many years - finally they met!
3. graders from two schools and our delegation from Ghana watched about turning over.
Adwoa helped the police and fire brigade to demonstrate the safety equipment before they entered the water for rescuing the two people under the boat.
Our teachers enjoying the lesson and the sun, after along walk surrounded by curious young new friends.

The ambulance personnel, police and fire-brigade rescuing a person that has been under water for a long time - showing how to perform first aid.

IN THE EVENING WE WENT TO A DIFFERENT LAKE TO PRACTICE WHAT WE HAD LEARNED AND MORE WITH 4H
Kano paddling is fun!
We also learned how to put up our own tent and to fish from land.
We got fish too!
Learning to slaughter the fish.
Guess what we had for supper that night?
We have been so busy this week. We have been to school, had a Ghanian party and been to the city pool house. In the weekend we will go on a journey and practice what we learned at the day by the lake for real!

It was fun too take the slide!

It was funny too be in Pirbadet together. (Lotte)

When it is daylight all around it can be hard to go to sleep....
So even though it is passed sleeping time it is much more fun to be at the trampoline with
Ole H, ----who visited Akosombo in 2005
